Joel is an Associate at FM Capital. Prior to joining FM Capital, Joel worked with Pritzker Alternative Strategies, helping evaluate direct and co-investment opportunities. Prior to that, Joel was a Senior Associate at Chicago Early Growth Ventures, a Midwest-focused early-stage investment group. Earlier in his career, he was a Director in the Corporate Finance & Restructuring group at FTI Consulting, where he advised companies and creditors through complex financial restructurings and operational turnarounds.​

Joel holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He earned a BBA in Finance and a BA in German from the University of Notre Dame.​

Outside of work, Joel enjoys scuba diving, playing the bass guitar, and cooking.
